We look forward to lunchtime at St Andrew’s CofE Primary School: a time to eat, relax and spend time with friends.
Our children have three options for dinner:
1. Bring a packed lunch from home
We recommend healthy lunch boxes, with a balanced contents suited to your child’s needs. We have children with severe nut allergies at school and request that nuts are not included in packed lunches or snacks. Suggestions and ideas for packed lunches can be found here:
2. Order a grab bag from our school lunch supplier, The Corbet School.
These contain a roll with a choice of fillings (ham/cheese/egg/tuna), a piece of fruit, a cake/biscuit and a yoghurt. All of our children are provided with water but we currently recommend that every child brings a water bottle into school with them. Your child will order this with a member of staff in their class. These are £2.40 per day.
3.Order a hot school meal from our school lunch supplier, The Corbet School.
The menus run on a 3 week rota (see below). All menus are designed to ensure government guidelines on primary school meals are adhered to. Your child will order this with a member of staff in their class. These are also £2.40 per day.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are in receipt of the Government funding, providing them with a free school dinner each day. Vegetarian meals are available and other dietary requirements and allergies can usually be catered for, please speak to Miss Sims if you have any queries. You will find our allergy menus below.
